As a former Georgia State Representative whose district included communities served by Atlanta Public Schools, one of Georgia's largest and most diverse public school systems, and as a former candidate for Georgia State School Superintendent, I have witnessed firsthand the opportunities, challenges, and complexities of public education.
My legislative experience, established relationships across government and community leadership, and commitment to educational advancement have reinforced one fundamental conviction:

I founded EducationFreedom.Fund to bring those essential elements together. EducationFreedom.Fund is an independent, policy-driven initiative born from my passion for the intersection of educational opportunity, civic engagement, public policy, and collaborative problem-solving. Its purpose is to help families navigate education systems, empower businesses to become meaningful partners in educational advancement, and connect organizations with the policy expertise, relationships, and strategic representation necessary to turn shared goals into measurable results.
I am putting my experience, professional relationships, and understanding of government to work for those committed to improving educational outcomes. Decisions made in school board meetings, legislative chambers, corporate boardrooms, and government agencies directly influence what opportunities children will have tomorrow.

When Mississippi began outperforming Georgia in fourth-grade reading despite spending less per student, it should have prompted serious questions about how we define educational progress, allocate resources, and measure success. Every parent, guardian, taxpayer, business owner, and community leader deserves to know how education dollars are spent, where those investments go, and what measurable results they produce.
I developed the P.A.S.S. Framework to establish four clear priorities for the Georgia Department of Education to measure its return on investment.
